You must be an approved TDCJ volunteer and on the Kairos-Darrington master list of Kairos trained volunteers. Your ID or Drivers License number must be on file with the Kairos-Darrington data coordinator. Anyone may view the schedule, but to submit changes (add or remove your name from the list) you must complete and submit an email form. Once you have successfully submitted the form, the Kairos-Darrington web master will update the schedule below AND the Kairos-Darrington contact person will contact the chaplain with the updated information. The process takes some time to complete. We need volunteers to commit to at least one week per month, and we need someone who will cover the 5th week (which occurs once every quarter). Also, Prayer & Share meets in the Trusty Camp on Tuesday evenings. Anyone interested in volunteering on Tuesday evenings should also submit a form. To submit your volunteering Saturdays, click on the P/S Scheduler tab, fill in all required fields (designated with *) and submit the form. You will be added to the list below, and the chaplain will add you to the list at the Darrington front gate. NOTE: If you elect to provide your telephone number(s) on the form, this information will be made available to other volunteers to use for scheduling purposes only. The telephone numbers will be listed in an encrypted document. You will need to request the password to the encrypted document. By doing so, you agree not to abuse the information it contains. Important Note About Rules Set By the Unit Administration: It will take typically 2 weeks to get your name added to the front gate list. Once you are on that list, you may come in for ANY Kairos Saturday afternoon. This enables you to swap Saturdays with someone. It is the warden's policy that if you do not show up for 6 weeks, your name comes off the list and you have to begin the process all over.
